This place was awesome!! Fresh fish and excellent service. Our family really enjoyed everything we ordered from the udon to the sashimi platter. I've been to a lot of sushi restaurants all over the west coast and this is definitely my favorite spot now. This place even has uni!! When I get back into town, I'm coming back for sure.
I wanted to try a new sushi spot and gave this one a try since it had great reviews. They don't have spicy edamame which was a bummer but we got the regular one and it was good. We got the Mexican Roll, the Garlic Albacore Roll, the Caterpillar Roll, and the Yellowtail Lover Roll with soy paper and no asparagus. Service was okay. Our server went on break or something and we were wanting to order our last roll and couldn't for a while. The rolls were pretty small and most of them didn't have much fish on it. It seemed like a lot of rice. But all in all, it was pretty good and the quality of the fish was great. Wish the portions were bigger.
A beautiful restaurant with even more gorgeous food. The menu is extensive and each item I have tried has never failed to satisfy my cravings. Most recently I tried the uni and tuna bowl. I typically always get chirashi but I was craving that uni. My goodness was it delicious and gorgeous. The service is so nice and quick. Some patrons can be very rude and I highly recommend and encourage that people are kinder to the folks at Haruka. Not only is it delicious, the ambience is cheerful. From a selection of beautiful a s trendy tables and seats, even the stoneware and cutlery are aesthetic. Haruka is family-friendly, authentic, great quality, and delicious. I will keep coming with my family! It's a huge bonus that it sits right between Handel's ice creamery and Alto-boba--take your pick for the delicious sweets if you still have room after a nice meal here!
Nice interior Great service Somewhat pricey ($47 for two rolls) Rolls were good, not fantastic Very popular place and got very busy
I frequent this sushi restaurant a lot because I love their service and the kindness of the staff, very family friendly environment. They have the best keto friendly menu and personally it's delicious. They have plenty of parking in the front and lots of street parking on the side.

Haruku Sake and Sushi in La Cañada Flintridge has become a favorite spot for my friends and I. It's so nice, we've now visited twice in the same number of weeks. The hamachi (yellowtail) and maguro (blue fin) sashimi were absolutely decadent, showcasing the freshness and quality of the ingredients. The rolls and salad were equally delightful, offering a perfect balance of flavors. What impresses us most is the consistent excellence in both service and culinary offerings. The fact that we returned for a second visit speaks volumes about the positive experiences we've had. If you're a fan of sushi done right, this place is definitely worth a visit.
GREAT LOCAL SPOT FOR SUSHI AND BENTO BOXES ========================================== Some friends suggested that we meet at Haruka Sake and Sushi for dinner, so we did a week ago. My husband ordered the chicken teriyaki with tempura combo. Instead of the shrimp he requested all veggie tempura. I ordered the same, but I like shrimp so I got that along with the veggies. Everything was so good. Our friend ordered a couple rolls and she loved those. Her husband ordered the ramen and he liked that. We made reservations which was a good idea because it was packed on a Sunday night. The ambiance and service was great too. They had a pretty Christmas tree right when you walk in.
Had a wonderful dinner at Haruka! The service was great and the food was delicious. Some stand outs for me were the scallops not only were they beautifully plated and very aesthetic, but the texture was soft and buttery. The next stand out was the Salmon sashimi it was fresh and I loved how it was paired with citrus yuzu and lemon. The uni was my first time having uni so ai can't fully speak on it. I would say that the sauce it was suspended on was a bit too salty for my preference, but not a bad taste at all. The ambiance was great very clean, classic, and cute.
This was my first time having an uni shooter and I ate it wrong. It was good regardless and the blue crab hand roll was my favorite that I'd ever had since it came with mayo instead of sesame oil. Don't even get me started on how fresh and tender the Hokkaido scallop nigiri was. I also loved the 210 roll since it used all fresh ingredients and the sriracha mayo they used really brought all the flavors together beautifully. The salmon usuzukuri was perfect to cleanse my palette since it used a lemon ponzu flavoring. That said, I also did have a pile of ginger next to me which the waiter brought after I requested extra. I was shocked by how good the tiramisu was. I came here for the sushi, of course, but they make their tiramisu so well. It had all the layers with ice cream being one of them. They have an open seating area, a bar, and an area in the back that's more isolated and intimate. I sat in the back which seemed more private and personal which I liked.
